Equine Osteopathy
Equine osteopathic treatment aims to provide a holistic hands-on approach to help your horse achieve optimal physical functioning and subsequent performance.
A history and musculoskeletal assessment will be performed, followed by the application of techniques that may include soft tissue massage, stretching, joint mobilisation and/or manipulation. Post-treatment exercise advice and rehab exercises/stretches may also be given.
Issues that may benefit from osteopathic treatment include (but not restricted to):
- Girthiness
- Issues resulting from poor saddle fit
- Performance issues
- Changes in temperament/behaviour
- Back soreness
- Arthritis
- Injury prevention
- Injury recovery
- Equine Biomechanics
Equine Osteopathic services do not require a veterinary referral, however, if further investigations are deemed necessary, the Osteopath will refer to an appropriate Equine Vet Clinic.
